War update: 57 clashes on front line since morning, heaviest fighting in Huliaipole sector

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 16:00 on Friday, February 27, Ukrinform reports.

The enemy continues attempts to advance deeper into Ukraine. The Defense Forces are holding them back and wearing them down along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

Russian troops continue shelling border areas. Today, Malushyne, Bachivsk, Tovstodubove, Iskryskivshchyna, Dibrova, Kucherivka, Yastrubshchyna, Kysla Dubyna, Baranivka, Volfyne, Rohizne, Bezsalivka, and Buniakyne in the Sumy region, as well as Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region, came under enemy fire.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the invaders shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 73 times, including 11 times using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked twice toward Vovchansk and Synelnykove but did not attempt further advances.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched one attack toward Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders are repelling two enemy attempts to advance toward Lyman and Drobysheve.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces attempted five times to advance toward Dronivka, Siversk, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One clash is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders attacked once toward Pleshchiivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out nine offensive actions near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Pleshchiivka, and Popov Yar.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day the enemy has tried 15 times to push the Defense Forces from their positions near Dorozhne, Bilytske, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, and Novopidhrodne. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops advanced twice toward Zlahoda and Ternove.

Russian aviation struck the areas of Havrylivka, Velykomykhailivka, and Levadne.

In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders carried out 20 attacks near Huliaipole, toward Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Zelene, Varvarivka, and Huliaipilske. Five clashes are ongoing.

Enemy aircraft also struck the areas of Barvinivka, Kopani, Liubytske, Luhivske, and Huliaipilske.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces have not conducted active offensive operations today but launched airstrikes on the areas of Blakytnе, Preobrazhenka, Komyshuvakha, and Veselianka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the invaders have also not conducted active offensive actions so far today.

The situation on other front-line sectors has not changed significantly, and the enemy has not attempted to advance.

As previously reported, Russian forces dropped phosphorus munitions on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, where civilians still remain.
