Ukrainian fighters decimate 280 invaders in Tavria direction in past day

"Missile and artillery units of the defense forces of Tavria direction performed 1,119 fire missions during the day. Over the past day, the enemy lost more than 280 occupiers killed and wounded. Sixty-eight units of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed and damaged," Valeriy Shershen, spokesman for the joint press center of the defense forces of Tavria direction, posted on Facebook.

In particular, six enemy tanks, 13 IFVs, 25 2S19 Msta-S howitzers, four 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, two Strela anti-aircraft missile systems, five 2S5 Giatsynt self-propelled guns, two Pion self-propelled guns, Zoopark radar system, three SuperCam and three Orlan 10 drones, and three ammunition storage sites were destroyed.

"Over the past day, the defense forces of Tavria direction had an utmost concentration on offensive operations to the south in Berdiansk and Melitopol directions. Heavy fighting is going on here literally for every meter of Ukrainian land. In particular, the vector of our attacks is Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Verbove, Vilne Pole, Makarivka. We have partial success, we gain a foothold on the achieved frontiers," the spokesman added.

He noted that the enemy tries to prevent the advance of Ukrainian troops and suffers heavy losses.

At the same time, in the east of Donetsk region, invaders continue to assault from the flanks, trying to seize Maryinka and create conditions for the capture of Avdiyivka which is part of the strategy of Russian troops to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk region.

The defense forces of Tavria direction reliably defend themselves in Maryinka area, having repelled 11 enemy assaults during the day and three at night, the spokesman said.

As reported, the Ukrainian troops eliminated about 222,000 Russian invaders from February 24, 2022 to June 21, 2023.
