Ukraine studying Japan's experience of rebuilding after earthquakes to overcome consequences of Russian aggression

A Ukrainian government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov is studying Japan's experience in rebuilding after devastating earthquakes to use it to overcome the consequences of the Russian occupation and the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant disaster.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The diplomat informed that the Ukrainian government delegation today met with the Minister for Reconstruction of Japan, the leadership of the Japan-Ukraine Interparliamentary Friendship Group, the head of the House of Representatives Committee on Reconstruction, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister's Office, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"The content of the talks is to study Japan's experience in rebuilding after devastating earthquakes, to help Ukraine recover, to provide emergency assistance in arranging basic services and housing in the liberated territories, and to overcome the consequences of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant disaster. More will follow," the Ambassador of Ukraine noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov took part in the G7 Transport Ministers' Summit in Japan on June 17.
