War update: Russian troops focus efforts on four directions, 24 clashes occur
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
On the night of June 19, 2023, Russia launched another missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s territory. Information about the aftermath of that Russian terrorist attack is yet to be checked.
Over the past day, Russian invaders have launched 59 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 100 times. Casualties among civilians were reported, including children, as well as the damage caused to critical infrastructure. The threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian troops launched air strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Ohirsteve, Budarky and Vesele. The enemy also launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Karpovychi; the Sumy region’s Seredyna-Buda, Sytne, Porokhon, Rozhkovychi, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Pryvillia, Budivelne, Bilokopytove, Novi Vyrky, Vorozhba, Bilopillia, Katerynivka, Obody, Pysarivka, Zapsillia, Stepne, Iskryskivshchyna, Hyrine, Popivka, Kindrativka, Stepne, Basivka, Loknia, Myropillia, Stepok; the Kharkiv region’s Velyka Pysarivka, Huriv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Budarky, Zemlianky, Bolohivka, Odnorobivka, Udy, Strilecha, Lukiantsi and Vovchanski Khutory.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Kupiansk and Berestove.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Spirne. The enemy launched air strikes on the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka and the Donetsk region’s Ozerne, as well as artillery strikes on the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Torske and Rozdolivka.
In the Bakhmut directions, Russian occupiers conducted offensive actions towards Orikhovo-Vasylivka but had no success. The enemy launched air strikes on the Donetsk region’s Ivanivske, Pivnichne, Bila Hora and Toretsk, as well as artillery strikes on Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka and Pivnichne.
In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an air strike near the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, as well as artillery strikes near the Donetsk region’s Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Karlivka, Berdychi, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka and Sieverne.
In the Marinka direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled all enemy attacks near the city of Marinka. The enemy launched an air strike there, as well as artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Maksymilianivka and Illinka.
In the Shakhtarske direction, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar. The enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Blahodatne, Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva, and shelled Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Shakhtarske and Velyka Novosilka.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian occupiers continue holding defense. The enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Makarivka; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka and Orikhiv; and the Kherson region’s Kozatske. Russian invaders launched artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Vremivka and Makarivka; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Zatyshshia, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Orikhiv, Lobkove and Kamianske; the Kherson region’s Mykhailivka, Novodmytrivka, Havrylivka, Kachkarivka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Vesele, Kozatske, Burhunka, Virivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Sofiivka, Myroliubivka; and the Mykolaiv region’s Ochakiv.
In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 10 strikes on enemy personnel clusters and hit one Russian air defense missile system. Ukrainian defenders downed Russia’s Ka-52 helicopter, three Shahed drones, and seven reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit two Russian command posts, four air defense missile systems, two personnel and military equipment clusters, and two ammunition depots.
