Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited the front line in Bakhmut direction, where he planned further actions with the commanders and presented the soldiers with gifts and awards.

"Bakhmut direction. I continue to work with our soldiers on the front line. It is important for me to personally see our fighters at the front. To hear their problems and proposals firsthand," Syrskyi posted on Telegram.

He noted that he planned further actions together with the commanders of units and subdivisions.

"The main focus, as always, is on people. Valuable gifts and awards have become the smallest gratitude for their titanic work," the Ground Forces Commander emphasized.

He added that the enemy continues to suffer significant losses in Bakhmut direction.

"The defense forces continue the fight," Syrskyi noted.

As reported, on June 2, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevaty said that the Ukrainian defenders eliminated 107 occupiers, wounded 126 occupiers, destroyed enemy equipment and three field ammunition depots in Bakhmut direction.
