At least 1,441 children affected in Ukraine due to Russian aggression - prosecutors

At least 1,441 children have been affected in Ukraine due to Russia's full-scale invasion.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, according to Ukrinform.

According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, Russia's full-scale armed aggression left 478 children dead and 963 others injured.

The PGO said the figures were not final as work was ongoing to establish them in areas of hostilities and in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were killed or injured in the Donetsk region - 453, Kharkiv region - 275, Kyiv region - 128, Kherson region - 96, Zaporizhzhia region - 89, Mykolaiv region - 89, Chernihiv region - 70, Dnipropetrovsk region - 67, Luhansk region - 66.

Two children, aged 6 and 17, were injured in a Russian attack on Kherson on May 3.

As of April, more than 380 children were listed as missing during the full-scale war.
