28 combat clashes recorded, 100 invaders eliminated in Bakhmut area in past day

Serhiy Cherevatyi, Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the Yedyni Novyny news telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Over the past day, the enemy launched 187 attacks using barrel and rocket artillery on our positions in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Yahidne, Bohdanivka, and Bakhmut. 28 combat clashes took place there, in which the enemy lost 100 occupiers, 97 more were injured," the spokesman said.

According to Cherevatyi, the situation remains difficult in this area, however sometimes the enemy’s activity decreases. This may be related to regrouping or their intentions to change tactics in other areas. For example, at first they employed battalion and company tactical groups, now they have switched to the tactics of small-scale operations.

The spokesman added that apart from the Avdiivka sector, the invaders are very active in the Lyman and Kupiansk areas.

In addition, throughout the day, the Defense Forces destroyed Russia’s BTR-80 armored personnel carrier, IFV, Tyulpan self-propelled mortar, four 123mm mortars, Stryzh electronic warfare station, ammunition depot.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 172,900 Russian troops in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to March 30, 2023, including 560 invaders over the past day alone. The enemy’s total combat losses include also 3,610 tanks, 6,974 armored combat vehicles, 2,671 artillery systems, 526 multiple launch rocket systems, 278 air defense systems, 306 aircraft, 291 helicopters, 5,518 motor vehicles, 18 warships/cutters, 2,239 unmanned aerial vehicles, 291 special equipment units. A total of 911 enemy cruise missiles were shot down.
