Russian forces shell Vovchansk

The Russian army shelled the city of Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, on the evening of Sunday, March 19.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the enemy is continuing to fire on the border settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts.

In the past 24 hours, the settlements of Vovchansk, Kupiansk, Dvorichna, Starytsia, Berestove and other towns and villages in the Kharkiv region came under enemy fire, Syniehubov said.

"The Russians hit the villages of Oleksandrivka and Tymofiivka in the Bohodukhiv district with mortars more than ten times. At least five private residential buildings were damaged there," Syniehubov said.

At 11:00, the enemy attacked Kupiansk.

In the evening, after 20:00, Russian troops shelled Vovchansk, the regional governor said, adding that there were no casualties.

On March 18, Russian invaders shelled 13 settlements in the Kharkiv region with artillery, wounding a woman.
