One civilian killed, five injured as enemy hits Avdiivka and Kostiantynivka

Today, March 13, the Russian invaders shelled the towns of Avdiivka and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region with tube artillery and Uragan MLRS. As a result, one civilian was killed and five more were injured.

"According to the investigation data, on March 13, 2023, the occupation forces of the Russian Federation shelled the towns of Avdiivka and Kostiantynivka with tube artillery and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems. As a result of the attacks, a 46-year-old woman was killed in Avdiivka. Five residents of Kostiantynivka, four men and one woman aged 25 to 73, received shrapnel injuries of varying degrees of severity. Currently, they are provided with medical assistance," the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office posted on Facebook.

As noted, private houses, apartment blocks, outbuildings, cars, and asphalt pavement were destroyed.

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was launched.

"Prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and rescuers are working on the ground. Pre-trial investigations are ongoing. Prosecutors continue to take all appropriate and possible measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces," the prosecutor's office noted.

As reported, Russian invaders injured seven residents of Donetsk region on March 12.
