Ukraine’s CinC Zaluzhnyi discusses with allies further arms supplies, strengthening air defenses

“Today I held a very important meeting for Ukraine. I was pleased to see my friends-colleagues: The Supreme Allied Commander Europe - Commander of the US European Command General Christopher Cavoli. Chief of the Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces Admiral Sir Tony Radakin. Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces General Rajmund Andrzejczak. Commander of the Security Assistance Group - Ukraine Lieutenant General Antonio A. Aguto. I am grateful for a very meaningful and direct conversation.  First of all, I informed my colleagues about the situation on the battlefield.  I explained in the most details the situation on the Eastern direction, in particular, regarding the course of events in Bakhmut,” Zaluzhnyi reported.

The commander-in-chief said the supply of military assistance, such as armament and ammunition, was “no less thoroughly discussed.”

“The issues of strengthening air defense and providing long-range weapon remain extremely important,” the posting reads.

According to CinC Zaluzhnyi, the parties also continued their dialogue regarding the training of the Ukrainian military and agreed to continue working together “in these and other important domains.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on March 4, Zaluzhnyi met with the Chief of Defense Staff of the Canadian Forces. The parties discussed the issue of defense aid supplies, including weapons and ammunition.
