As of now, there are no signs that China will agree to send any weapons to the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, who spoke in an interview with the Voice of America, Ukrinform reports.

"I do not share this opinion (that China could supply weapons to the Russian Federation - ed.). As of now, I don't think that China will agree to the transfer of weapons to Russia... I don't see any signs that such things are even being discussed," Budanov emphasized.

He noted that, with all due respect to certain politicians' statements, he relies exclusively on facts. "I an intelligence chief and I rely, excuse me, not on the opinion, with all due respect, of individual people, but only on facts. I’m not seeing any such facts."

According to the top intelligence official, currently almost the only country that actually sends more or less serious weapons to the Russian Federation is Iran. Despite reports of the supply of weapons from North Korea, there are currently no facts to confirm them.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China stated that the country is not considering the possibility of transferring weapons to Russia for their use in the war against Ukraine.
