Eight people injured in Russian attack in Kyiv

Eight people have been injured in the capital as a result of the Russian attack.

According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reported this on Telegram.

“Currently, eight people have been injured in the capital as a result of the enemy's attack. Five of them have been hospitalized,” Klychko said.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, a 16-year-old child is among the victims.

The report states that damage has been recorded in seven districts of Kyiv.

In the Solomianskyi district, the Russians struck the 9th floor of a university's dormitory.

In the Darnytskyi district, a 24-story residential building was hit. At another address, houses in the private sector are on fire.

In the Dniprovskyi district, an 18-story residential building was damaged on the 4th floor. A fire was reported.

In other locations in the capital, cars are burning, a garage cooperative has been damaged, and windows have been broken.

Eight people are known to have been injured, including a 16-year-old child.

Klychko later reported that a fire had broken out in an 18-story building in the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv as a result of the Russian attack, and that a search for a person under the rubble is underway.

According to him, an enemy UAV strike caused a fire on the third floor of the 18-story building. There may be a person under the rubble on the 5th floor.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

As reported by Ukrinform, five people were previously known to have been injured as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on December 27.
