40% of Kyiv residents without electricity after Russian missile attack - Klitschko

In connection with the security measures taken by power engineers during an air raid alert, 40% of consumers remain without electricity in the city of Kyiv. Power supply is currently being restored.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“40% of the capital’s consumers are without electricity after the missile attack. This is due to the necessary safety measures introduced by power engineers during an air raid alert. Power engineers are currently working on restoring the power supply,” Klitschko wrote.

The mayor noted the city supplies heat and water as usual, except for houses where there is no power supply, on which the operation of boiler plants depends.

As Ukrinform reported, on the morning of December 29, Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine.

The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 16 missiles in the sky over Kyiv.

In Kyiv, fragments of downed Russian missiles damaged three private houses in the Darnytskyi district, an industrial enterprise in the Holosiivskyi district, and a children's playground in the Pecherskyi district.

Three people, including a 14-year-old girl, were injured in Kyiv.
