Three emergency workers killed during mine clearance in Kherson region

Three employees of Ukraine's State Emergency Service office in the Zhytomyr region were killed by a mine during mine clearance in the Kherson region on Saturday, December 24.

The State Emergency Service office in the Zhytomyr region said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to the report, Serhiy Kurinnyi and Dmytro Krasnoshchokov died at the scene of the explosion, whereas Oleksii Sych died of his injuries on the way to the hospital.

"All of the three selflessly served in the special emergency and rescue unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zhytomyr region and performed the task of demining the territories of the Kherson region freed from the enemy," the report said.
