Ukrposhta resumes operations in most de-occupied towns, villages in Kharkiv region

Ukraine's state postal operator Ukrposhta has already resumed operations in most de-occupied settlements in the Kharkiv region.

The regional military administration said this in a statement on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukrposhta has begun to work in 61% of the de-occupied settlements in the Kharkiv region," the statement said.

The administration that the payment of pensions was resuming in the districts of the Kharkiv region liberated from the Russian occupiers.

"One post office can serve up to six settlements, whereas one mobile post office can serve up to 14," said Director at the Kharkiv Directorate of JSC Ukrposhta Yuriy Savchenko.

According to the report, next week, Ukrposhta plans to launch the work of a post office in Vovchansk. Therefore, postal workers will be able to ensure the issuance of pensions for low-mobility groups.

At the same time, it is still not possible to travel to some communities in the Kharkiv region due to the security situation.
