Enemy hits Kharkiv city, nine localities of region

The police documented 15 cases of destruction as a result of enemy shelling of Kharkiv region over the past day, August 5.

"The enemy continues to fire missiles and artillery on civilians of Kharkiv city and region every day. Employees of investigative and operational groups and forensic experts documented more than 15 facts of destruction of houses and other objects in the territory of the region as a result of shelling and fires," Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of the Kharkiv Region National Police Department, posted on Facebook.

On August 5, the city of Kharkiv and Chuhuiv, Mospanove, Andriivka, Kalynove, Shevelivka, Barvinkove, Derhachi, Zolochiv, and Sheludkivka localities of Kharkiv region came under Russian fire.

Private houses, a garage, and outbuildings were damaged. Investigators carefully documented the consequences of the Russian attacks.

The law enforcement officers record the civilian casualties every day.

As reported, as of August 4, 9,826 critical infrastructure objects were damaged in Russian strikes on Kharkiv region. Kharkiv city and Bohodukhiv, Izium, and Chuhuiv districts suffer the most.
