War update: Ukraine Army repulses Russian assaults toward Kramatorsk, Bakhmut

The Russian forces are further attempting to improve their tactical positions in the directions of Kramatorsk and Bakhmut. The Ukrainian Army has repulsed all offensive attempts and eliminated an enemy scout unit.

That’s according to the latest update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remains unchanged.

In the Siverskyi direction, enemy artillery shelled Senkivka and Khrinivka, Chernihiv region, as well as Progres and Bachivsk, Sumy region. The enemy used reconnaissance aircraft and UAVs for aerial reconnaissance.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy is running combat operations with the aim of holding the occupied ground and preventing the advance of Ukrainian units. The enemy puts a significant focus on reconnaissance in order to expose Ukraine’s defense system and identify firing positions of artillery units.

In the Kharkiv direction, enemy artillery opened fire in the areas of Kharkiv, Rubizhne, Chuhuyiv, Tsupivka, Borshcheva, Zrubanka, Ivanivka, Ruska Lozova, Korobochkine, Bazaliivka, and Pytomnyk.

In the Sloviansk direction, enemy artillery shelled the areas near Adamivka, Pashkove, Dolyna, Hrushuvaha, Shevelivka, Virnopillia, Krasnopillia, Mazanivka, Nova Dmytrivka, and Brazhkivka.

In the area of ​​ Pasika, a Russian reconnaissance group attempted to expose Ukraine’s positions – with no success. The group has been neutralized.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy pursues its attempts to improve its tactical position toward Kramatorsk and Bakhmut, going for assault missions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians opened artillery fire near Kryva Luka, Spirne, Hryhorivka, Vyimka, Siversk, and Dronivka, and launched an airstrike near Serebrianka. In an assault effort toward Bilohorivka - Verkhnokamianske, the enemy suffered losses and retreated.

In the direction of Bakhmut, enemy artillery shelled the districts of Bakhmut, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Fedorivka, Bakhmut, Pokrovske, Vershyna, Zaytseve, Sukha Balka and Vesele. Airstrikes were reported near Yakovlivka and Pokrovske.

Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled enemy assaults on the settlement of Berestove and toward Volodymyrivka - Soledar and Roty - Semihirya. The enemy was forced to retreat, having sustained combat losses.

The Russians ran no offensive operations in the Avdiyivka, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhia directions. Shelling was recorded in the districts of Pisky, Kostyantynivka, Avdiyivka, and Huliaipole. The occupiers launched airstrikes near Novoandriivka, Kamianske, and Olhivske.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy is in defense, trying to prevent the advance of Ukrainian units deeper into the temporarily captured territory. The enemy shelled the areas of Osokorivka, Tokarevo, Ivanivka, Andriivka, Kiselivka, Partyzanske, Kavkaz, Stepova Dolyna, Kotlyareve, and Poliana, using artillery and tanks. Airstrikes were reported near Lyubomirivka and Novomykolaivka.

In the waters of the Black Sea, the enemy's naval group continues to perform tasks of covering the land group and isolating the area of ​​hostilities. At the moment, two Kalibr sea-based cruise missile carriers remain outside their bases.

Russian occupiers continue to actively use proscribed types of weapons - phosphorus and cluster munitions. These and other violations of the laws and customs of war are systematically recorded and documented for further use in court. The occupiers who will survive the war will be inevitably held accountable, the report reads.

In the meantime, Ukrainian artillery and missile units continue to successfully engage the enemy in the designated directions. It is increasingly difficult for the Russians to replenish their losses, especially in manpower.
