Russians trying to improve tactical position in Bakhmut direction

Russian invaders are attempting to improve their tactical situation in the Bakhmut direction, carrying out an assault operation and artillery shelling near a number of settlements.

That's according to a morning update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

In the Volyn and Polissya directions, as part of the combat readiness check, one of the Belarusian mechanized brigades has worked out the deployment of military draft offices with an actual reception of new conscripts.

In the northern direction, the enemy continues to hold units of Russia’s Western Military District in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions in order to demonstrate their presence and restrain maneuvers of Ukrainian units.

The enemy fired artillery at the positions of Ukrainian troops near Leonivka and Bachivsk in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, respectively.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy regrouped troops in order to increase their offensive capabilities.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy's main efforts are focused on maintaining the occupied frontiers. In order to restrain Ukrainian units and prevent the transition to the offensive, the enemy carried out intense artillery shelling, including with multiple rocket launchers, in the areas of Bazaliyivka, Udy, and Verkhniy Saltiv.

In the Sloviansk direction, the aggressor is conducting assault operations, searching for weaknesses in Ukraine’s defensive lines, firing artillery of various calibers at civilian infrastructure near Pryshyb, Dolyna, Karnaukhivka, and Virnopilla.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is fighting along the line of contact, with its main efforts being focused on the Bakhmut direction.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy took no significant action, firing artillery at Ukrainian units in the area of ​​Pyskunivka.

In the Siverodonetsk direction, Russian occupiers continue to engage Ukrainian troops with all available firepower in the areas of Bilohorivka, Lysychansk, and Siverodonetsk.

The enemy does not stop trying to establish full control over the city of Siverodonetsk, continuing the assault operation. Firefights are ongoing.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is storming the area to improve its tactical position. Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Vesele, Soledar, Berestove, and Vovchoyarivka.

In the Lyman, Avdiyivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia directions, the enemy exerts systematic fire in order to restrain the actions of Ukrainian troops in the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Mykilske, Antonivka, Huliaipole, Novopil, and Orikhiv.

On the Yehorivka-Shevchenko route, Ukrainian soldiers located and eliminated an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group.

In the South Buh and Tavria directions, the enemy is focusing its efforts on holding its ground and preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops, inflicting fire damage and continuing to fortify positions in the areas of Bezvodne and Ishchenka.

In the Black Sea and Sea of Azov Maritime Operational Zones, the enemy's main focus is on blocking civilian navigation. In the Black Sea, the enemy remains ready to use three high-precision missile carriers.
