Ukraine war update: missile strike in Ternopil region, battles in Siverodonetsk

In Donetsk region, electricity was partially restored, while in the region of Kherson, Russian invaders plan to bring people from the temporarily occupied Crimea for mass celebrations to mark Russia Day.

This is stated in a morning update on the situation in Ukraine’s regions as of 8:00 on June 12, Ukrinform reports.

Hostile shelling of Ukrainian military and frontline settlements continues in Donetsk region. Over the past day, two people were killed and 10 were injured. The Russians are focusing their efforts on destroying critical infrastructure. Yesterday, in the area of ​​Toretsk, power grids were damaged, which led to a blackout in Toretsk, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, and Druzhkivka. As of Sunday morning, the power supply was partially restored. However, Donetsk region remains without gas and partially without water. The civilian evacuation is underway.

In Luhansk region, Russian troops constantly storm and shell the city of Siverodonetsk and surrounding villages. Yesterday, the enemy hit the territory of the Azot plant’s transport shop, where fire broke out. One of the premises of the Siverodonetsk Fiberglass Research Facility was damaged, while the Russians also targeted a rescuers’ testing ground located outside the city. Pavlohrad and Synetskyi villages came under enemy fire. In Zolote and Vrubivka, 20 households were destroyed, along with another two in Mykolaivka. In Lysychansk, four households, a shopping center, and a small shop were hit. A person was killed and two were injured in the area.

In Ternopil region, Russian missiles hit the territory of the Chortkiv community late Saturday, where several people were injured.

In Kharkiv, the Shevchenkivskyi district came under enemy fire overnight Sunday. No one was injured. At night, the Russians fired on Bezruki, Kharkiv district, where a private household caught fire. At around 5:00 in the morning, the aggressors fired on the Zolochiv community, again. A household caught fire but no one was injured. In total, three people were injured by shelling throughout the day. Two were killed in Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts.

In Mykolaiv region overnight Sunday, Russian troops fired at the village of Parutyne, Kutsurub community. No casualties were reported. The enemy also continued shelling the Bereznehuvatska community where data on casualties is being verified. Yesterday, the enemy fired on Shyrokiv community as well where no one was injured.

In Kherson region, Russian invaders intend to celebrate Russia Day. According to propaganda media, the events will take place throughout the region, while people from the occupied Crimea may be brought to create for the media a picture of mass celebrations. Provocations are possible in the area.

At the same time, the night passed relatively calmly in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zhytomyr regions.
