Ukrainian Army retreats to “better positions,” while Russians seize control of 70% of Sievierodoetsk – region’s chief

Russian invaders currently control 70% of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region, but have not completely occupied the city.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration head Serhii Haidai addressed the issue during the national telethon, Luhansk RMA reports on Telegram.

"Today, indeed, 70% of Sievierodonetsk is controlled by the Russians, but the city has not yet been completely occupied," Haidai said.

He noted that the Ukrainian military is retreating to the better, already prepared positions.

"We are constantly in touch – with everyone who is defending the city, everyone who is holding their positions – everything is fine," said the RMA head.

As Ukrinform reported with reference to the General Staff, the invaders carried out assault operations in the northern, southern, and eastern districts of the city of Sievierodonetsk.
