Ukrainian defenders repulse 11 enemy attacks in JFO area, destroying plane and five tanks

Ukrainian defenders have shot down Russia’s Su-25 aircraft and destroyed five tanks and other military equipment units in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the Joint Forces Task Force on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukrainian defenders from the Joint Forces Task Force have repulsed 11 enemy attacks today. Battles are raging in three more areas,” the report states.

In particular, the Ukrainian military destroyed Russia’s Tor surface-to-air missile system, five tanks, six artillery systems (including three multiple launch rocket systems), 12 armored fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle.

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down a Su-25 aircraft and three Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have shelled 25 settlements in Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region, causing damage to 42 residential houses, school, higher educational institution, hotel and six enterprises. Twenty civilians were killed in Russia’s shelling, including one child.
