The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo eliminated a group of Russian paratroopers who were trying to storm the Ukrainian positions in Luhansk region.

"Russian paratroopers tried to storm the combat positions of the King [Danylo Brigade] infantry in Luhansk region today. After their mission failed, only seven invaders of the group survived. The rest were eliminated by our servicemen," the Brigade's press service posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Personal belongings and documents of the invaders show that they came to fight in Ukraine from different parts of Russia.

"Udmurtia, Bashkortostan, Rostov region - the ‘salt of the Russian world’ carried the idea of ‘Greater Russia’ to the area of responsibility of our brigade but received a warm welcome instead," the military added.

On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of the eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale offensive.

The enemy massively shells and bombs peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, and the entire Ukrainian people effectively resist and inflict heavy losses on Russian troops.
