One killed, 18 injured in Russian missile strike on Kharkiv

One person was confirmed killed and at least 18 were injured in the latest Russian missile attack on the city of Kharkiv on April 16.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Public Broadcaster UA:PBC with reference to the chief of the regional health department, Maksym Khaustov, Ukrinform saw.

"One person was killed and at least 18 were injured in a missile attack on Kharkiv on April 16, according to preliminary reports," Khaustov said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on April 15, ten civilians, including an infant of seven months, were killed in Russian shelling of Kharkiv. Another 35 people were injured. Several residential buildings were damaged and/or destroyed.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and bombarding key infrastructure facilities and residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages, employing artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, ballistic missile launchers, and warplanes. The invaders have staged mass terror in the temporarily occupied territories.
