Ukraine did not develop any weapons of mass destruction - president

No chemical weapons or other weapons of mass destruction were developed in Ukraine, and the whole world, including Russia, knows that.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a video address, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"What are these allegations of preparing chemical attacks? Have you decided to carry out "de-chemicalization" of Ukraine? Using ammonia? Using phosphorus? […] We are adequate people. I am the President of an adequate country, an adequate nation. And the father of two children. And no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction were developed on my land. The whole world knows that. You know that. And if you do something like that against us, you will get the most severe sanctions response," Zelensky said.

He addressed Russia: "What else have you prepared for us? Where will you strike with chemical weapons? At the maternity hospital in Mariupol? At the church in Kharkiv? At the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital? Or at laboratories, most of which have remained since Soviet times and are engaged in ordinary science. Ordinary! Not military technology."

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Ukraine was allegedly preparing a provocation with the use of poisonous substances "in order to accuse Russia of using chemical weapons."

The White House denied allegations by the Russian side about the alleged preparation of provocations in Ukraine with the use of chemicals in which the United States is allegedly involved.
