Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina has called on world leaders to close the skies over Ukraine.

She said this in her video address posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Since 2014, I have seen with my own eyes the atrocities committed by Russia in Ukraine, how it aggressively attacked our country. In 2014, the Russian occupiers created a prison, isolation, in Donetsk so that to torture our Ukrainian citizens. It is taking place in the 21st century, and all world leaders, the whole world community has been deeply concerned and continued to be deeply concerned during the eight years of Russia's insidious war. For two weeks, our people have been heroically resisting and repelling the Russian aggressor. Russian troops are committing atrocities in Ukraine. For two weeks now, our civilians have been shelled by heavy weapons and ballistic missiles. Today a bomb hit a maternity hospital in Mariupol. And you continue to be deeply concerned. I call on all world leaders: be human, close the skies over Ukraine," Laputina said.

She called on world leaders to stop thinking about their own interests and businesses and to close the skies over Ukraine.

As reported, on February 24, Russia declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.
