The situation regarding the Russian invasion

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled Russia’s attack so decisively that the aggressor state has to carry out mobilization to create reserves.

The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhnyi on his Facebook page, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The whole world can see how the aggressor state, the Russian Federation, is conducting a bloody war against Ukraine, using long-range, operational and tactical aviation with the involvement of precision-guided munition. The Russian occupiers target urban civilians, but they heartlessly push the trigger making them war criminals. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled Russia’s attack so decisively that the aggressor state has to carry out mobilization to create reserves. The enemy has lost tactical initiative and slowed down the progression,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.

In his words, today, in a fierce combat in the Chornobyl direction, Chief of Staff of the 36th Army (Ulan-Ude) of the Eastern Military District has been wounded. In the Siverskyi operation district, Commander of the 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade (Ulan-Ude) of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation was killed (according to the different data, wounded).

“Russian occupiers have two options: to be smashed or to surrender. We are on our land, and we will defend it to the last drop of blood. Either our own or the invader’s one,” Zaluzhnyi stressed.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. The Russian military are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities and housing sectors across Ukrainian cities and villages.
