Zelensky: Important to prevent war in Middle East
It is important to prevent the war in the Middle East from escalating further, but at the same time, we cannot ignore the fact that the regime in Iran is a terrorist regime.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement during a conversation with journalists in Paris, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“It is very important for everyone in the world that, through joint efforts, we manage to stabilize the situation and prevent this war from escalating further. Everyone sees the loss of life, everyone sees the destruction, the threats to various countries in the region, everyone sees the destabilization of global markets due to the virtual halt of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, there may be different assessments of the U.S. campaign against the Iranian regime, but it is difficult to argue with the fact that the regime in Iran is terrorist.
“The entire region and Iran itself definitely need much more respect for life and greater protection of life, first and foremost from the regime in Iran. Ukraine can contribute to stabilization,” the President stressed.
As reported, on March 9, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine had received 11 requests for security support from Iran’s neighboring countries, European states, and the United States, particularly regarding countering the “Shaheds.”
According to him, three groups of Ukrainian experts are already working in the Middle East.
