Russians shell 26 settlements in Sumy region; two people wounded

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 26 settlements in the Sumy region, injuring two people.

According to Ukrinform, the National Police reported this on Telegram.

“Over the past 24 hours, 38 shelling incidents targeting 26 settlements were recorded in the Sumy region. The enemy used guided aerial bombs, multiple launch rocket systems, artillery, mortars, and various types of drones,” the statement said.

In the Krasnopillia community, a 63-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were wounded, and a private residential building was damaged.

In the Kyrykivka community, transportation infrastructure, an administrative building, and technical equipment were damaged.

Police investigative and operational teams, along with bomb disposal experts, worked at the incident sites. Law enforcement officers documented the consequences of the shelling, recorded the damage, and collected evidence, the police noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, several commuter trains in the Sumy region were canceled for two days due to the hostilities.
