Air defenses neutralize 126 out of 145 drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine overnight

Ukraine's air defense forces have neutralized 126 out of the 145 drones launched by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine since Sunday evening.

The Ukrainian Air Force said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Beginning at 18:00 on Sunday, January 18, the enemy launched 145 attack UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, Gerbera drones, and other unmanned aerial vehicles, from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 90 of them were Shahed-type drones.

The aerial assault was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 on Monday, January 19, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 126 drones.

Impacts by 13 attack UAVs were recorded at 12 locations, along with the fall of downed targets (debris) at five locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
