Italy to provide Ukraine with heating equipment – Budanov

In the coming days, a batch of heating equipment from Italy will arrive in Ukraine to support the regions most affected by Russian terror.

According to Ukrinform, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated this on Telegram.

"We continue to mobilize international assistance to overcome the difficult situation in the energy sector after massive Russian shelling. In the coming days, a batch of heating equipment from Italy will arrive in Ukraine to support the regions most affected by Russian terror," Budanov noted.

This is the implementation of agreements between the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni.

"As part of the first stage, 78 industrial boilers with a total capacity of 116.5 MW are being delivered to Ukraine. This equipment is necessary in the context of constant attacks on our infrastructure. The second stage of support is planned for the next six months. During this period, Ukraine will receive more than 300 additional boilers with a total capacity of 806 MW. The equipment will be directed to communities that are currently suffering the most from enemy shelling," Budanov emphasized.

He expressed gratitude to Italy for its assistance and to all partners for their solidarity and concrete steps to protect Ukrainians.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha called on the world and the IAEA to force Russia to abandon plans to attack substations supplying nuclear power plants.
