Russians strike Naftogaz facilities over past week – Zelensky
Russian invaders carried out strikes throughout the week on facilities of the company Naftogaz in various regions of Ukraine, including yesterday targeting gas production.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in his address, according to Ukrinform.
The head of state praised the Naftogaz team, whose facilities were hit throughout the week in different regions, with the latest strike targeting gas production.
"It is very important that private Ukrainian companies are working together with the Government, together with the state, and together with the public system to strengthen our country's resilience. This is exactly how it should be – everyone working together, everyone on team Ukraine," he emphasized.
According to him, decisions are currently being implemented to increase electricity imports. The head of state thanked partners who are honoring agreements on the supply of necessary resources, as well as equipment and machinery.
"In particular, the implementation of our agreements with Italy has begun in recent days. Giorgia Meloni and I discussed this: now support packages – these are truly vital items, truly vital equipment – are being delivered to Ukraine," Zelensky noted.
As Ukrinform previously reported, according to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, a batch of heating equipment from Italy will arrive in Ukraine in the coming days to support regions most affected by Russian terror.
