Woman, her 12-year-old son injured in drone attack on Kharkiv region

Two people were injured and property was damaged in a Russian drone strike on Thursday morning in the village of Motuzivka.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"In the village of Motuzivka, Berestyn district, a woman and her 12-year-old son were injured. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. The settlement was attacked today at approximately 06:15," the statement reads.

According to preliminary information, the strike was carried out with a Geran-2 type UAV.

The prosecutor's office spokesperson, Valeriia Chyrina, told an Ukrinform correspondent that the woman and her son suffered an acute stress reaction.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
