Ukraine focused on preparing counteroffensive – PM Shmyhal

The Ukrainian government is currently focused on preparing a counteroffensive to liberate its territories from Russian invaders.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in an interview with the American Fox News channel.

"We are very united with our partners and especially with the United States. And I am sure that we now on proper way for our counteroffensive, we will liberate the rest of our territories, we will win, and this is the main. We are very concentrated on the preparation our counteroffensive, together with our partners and especially with the United States," he said.

The Prime Minister added that the Ukrainian government is focused on preparing a counteroffensive, despite Russian psychological and information operations.

Shmyhal also thanked all Americans, the US President, and Congress for their military assistance and strong support for Ukraine.

He noted that the Ukrainian government is accountable to donors for the aid it receives. "We are accountable for every dollar so we send reports to the (Biden - ed.) administration, to the World Bank for every dollar which Ukraine have from our partners, and especially from the USA. So we are accountable, we are very transparent, we realize all reforms in our country but we are very responsible for this support which we have from the United States," Shmyhal said.

As Ukrinform reported, the Prime Minister of Ukraine is on a visit to the United States.
