Ukrainian SOF destroy Russian position, capture prisoners in Northern raid
In northern Ukraine, operators of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a raid on a Russian position and captured several enemy soldiers.
According to Ukrinform, the Special Operations Forces Command reported this on Facebook and released video of the combat operation.
“A Special Forces unit successfully carried out a mission in one of the northern regions. Infiltration was conducted both using buggies and on foot,” the statement said.
First, the operators conducted reconnaissance of the forward enemy position, where they discovered personal items and elements of military equipment. Later, they located the enemy personnel.
“The Russians initially refused the offer to surrender and attempted to resist. However, heavy fire directed at them and the wounds they sustained forced them to change their minds. During ‘processing,’ the prisoners told the usual story of invaders that their command had abandoned them,” the SOF said.
After providing first aid to the captured soldiers, Ukrainian forces took them prisoner to add to the exchange fund and subsequently destroyed the enemy position.
As reported by Ukrinform, two more Russian soldiers recently surrendered through the I Want to Live project.
