Not enough weapons being received despite higher delivery pace - Ukraine's NSDC secretary

Ukrinform
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, has noted that, although Ukraine is increasingly receiving weapons from international partners, it is still not enough for the Ukrainian forces to fully cover their demand.

Speaking at the national telethon, Danilov commented on Poland's decision to transfer another batch of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Today we are receiving more and more assistance from our partners. But as for whether the amount of this weaponry is sufficient or not, I will tell you that the military will never have enough of them. There is no such phrase as 'enough weapons' in war. Our military has a great will to have as many weapons as possible in order to eliminate the terrorists who invaded our territory as soon as possible," Danilov said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on April 13 that Warsaw would soon hand over another batch of MiG-29 warplanes to Kyiv.

In addition, the German Federal Government had approved Poland's application to export MiG-29 fighters, previously received from the former GDR, to Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda also stated that Poland had already handed over a total of eight MiG-29s to Ukraine, and was preparing to transfer six more.
