Steinmeier: Germany to send two more MARS II systems, four PzH 2000 howitzers to Ukraine

Germany will send two MARS II multiple-launch rocket systems and four Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine soon.

This was announced by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I promised Mr. President today that two MARS systems will be delivered in the near future and four our Panzerhaubitze 2000 will be also transferred to Ukraine within the next few days," Steinmeier said.

In addition, he reminded that Germany also sends modern Iris-T air defense systems to Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived on a visit to Ukraine on October 25.
