Sweden allocates additional EUR 56M to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Sweden has allocated an additional EUR 56 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to EUR 259.5 million.

That is according to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) has directed an additional 600 million Swedish kronor (about EUR 56.38 million) to the fund, the statement said.

The funds are expected to support repairs and restoration of energy facilities damaged by Russian attacks, the purchase of critical equipment, and the provision of passive protection for energy infrastructure.

Since November 2025, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has mobilized more than EUR 582 million in confirmed contributions. In total, the fund has received donations from 37 international donors.

According to the latest estimates by the World Bank, the overall needs for restoring Ukraine's energy sector amount to $90.6 billion.

In February, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund received more than EUR 208 million, bringing the total amount of contributions to over EUR 1.8 billion.
