Switzerland to allocate CHF 5B for Ukraine's reconstruction – Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Maja Riniker, President of the National Council of Switzerland, to discuss humanitarian support and the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

The head of state reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"We discussed the global situation, cooperation with partners, and Switzerland's support and assistance. I am thankful for the decision to allocate 5 billion francs for the recovery of our country. We have many promising humanitarian projects that we can implement together with the help of these funds," Zelensky said.

He added that both sides had also addressed the issue of abducted children, expressing hope that Switzerland will take practical steps to join Ukraine's efforts with international partners to return all Ukrainian children home.

Zelensky thanked Switzerland for its peacebuilding efforts and its steadfast and consistent support for the Ukrainian people.
