Over UAH 15M to be allocated as compensation to owners of destroyed homes in Zaporizhzhia

In Zaporizhzhia, the commission has approved the allocation of 15 million hryvnias as compensation to owners of homes destroyed due to Russian aggression.

This was reported by acting Mayor of Zaporizhzhia Rehina Kharchenko on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"We have approved the allocation of over 15 million hryvnias to the owners of destroyed homes in Zaporizhzhia. A regular meeting of the commission for reviewing compensation claims for destroyed real estate due to hostilities, terrorist acts, and sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine took place," the official wrote.

During the meeting, the commission members approved 12 applications. The owners will receive housing certificates to purchase new homes, totaling 15 million 345 thousand 844 hryvnias.

Since the commission's establishment, a total of 200 applications have been reviewed. 27 applications are still being processed, the city council of Zaporizhzhia noted.

As reported, by September 2025, Ukraine plans to build 140 shelters where pupils can study.
