Estonia to provide EUR 12M for reconstruction projects in Zhytomyr region

In 2025, Estonia will allocate EUR 12 million for restoration and development projects in the Zhytomyr region.

The relevant statement was made by Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Head Vitalii Bunechko on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As part of restoration and development projects in the Zhytomyr region, Estonia has already allocated more than EUR 50 million, including EUR 12 million for 2025. These funds allow us to continue important initiatives that are changing the lives of our communities,” Bunechko wrote.

According to Malyn City Council, with the support of Estonia, an art school damaged by Russian shelling is being rebuilt in the city of Malyn. The Estonian side will also help to develop and implement a project on extracurricular education reform in the community.

In the Zhytomyr community, Estonia will build a modern family-type children’s home for a family raising eight children.

A reminder that, in the Zhytomyr region’s Ovruch, social housing for internally displaced persons will be built with the support of Estonia, with nearly EUR 1.8 million allocated for this purpose.
