Ukrinform
The European Parliament in its official statement calls for Russian President Vladimir Putin and the EU leaders to take all the measures needed to release Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko, who has been arrested in Moscow on ‘espionage’ charges, a source in the European Parliament told Ukrinform.

“MEPs are particularly concerned about Russia's illegal detention of Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko on September 30,” the source said.

The EU believes that the situation with Sushchenko’s arrest is an alarm signal for all those wishing to travel to Russia.

According to the source, the European Parliament demands immediate release of Roman Sushchenko.
