West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko of Ukraine may move to Genoa this winter, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

He wrote on Twitter that one of Genoa's priorities during the off-season in January is to sign an attacking midfielder. Genoa manager Andriy Shevchenko would like to sign Yarmolenko. The Italian club is ready for negotiations.

Genoa now has no slots for players without an EU passport. The club is ready to free up a slot for Yarmolenko if it decides to close the deal, Schira said.

Yarmolenko scored one goal in 14 matches for West Ham this season. His contract with the English club expires in June 2022.
