Koval wins Paralympic gold in shot put, Yarovyi takes silver

Ukrainian Maksym Koval has become the Paralympic champion in the men's shot put in the F20 class, according to Ukrinform.

Koval threw the ball 17.34 meters on his third attempt.

Malaysian Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli, who showed the best result of 17.94 meters, was disqualified after the competition.

As a result, Koval received the gold instead of the silver. Another Ukrainian, Oleksandr Yarovyi, took the silver.

Ukraine's national Paralympic team has already won 66 medals - 15 golds, 32 silvers, and 19 bronzes.
