Ukraine takes silver in standing javelin at Tokyo Paralympics

On the third day of the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, Ukraine team won its 11th medal.

Vladyslav Bilyi took silver in the men's standing javelin F38 with a result of 55.34 meters, setting a European Paralympic record, Ukrinform reports.

Oleksandr Doroshenko (54.07m) was the fifth.

Colombia’s Jose Gregoria Lemos took gold by throwing 60.31m on his first attempt and beating the previous Paralympic world record by 2m.

Ukraine Paralympic team have already won 11 medals – one gold, seven silver, and three bronze.
