Champions League qualifying: Shakhtar beat Monaco in play-off first leg

Shakhtar Donetsk have defeated France's Monaco 1-0 on the road in the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie.
According to Ukrinform, Shakhtar midfielder Pedrinho scored a winner in the 19th minute.
The return match will be played in Kharkiv on August 25.
In the other two play-off first legs, Switzerland's Salzburg defeated Denmark's Brondby 2-1, and Moldova's Sheriff beat Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb 3-0.
