Lomachenko may give Lopez part of his purse

WBA/WBO/WBC lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine may give $500,000 from his purse to his future rival, IBF champion Teofimo Lopez of the United States, so that the latter could sign a contract for the fight, according to Poland's boxing news site ringpolska.pl.
According to the report, Lopez was not satisfied with the proposed $1.3 million, while Lomachenko was offered $3 million. If Lomachenko agrees to pay part of his money, his purse for the fight will be about $2.5 million.
The meeting between Lopez and Lomachenko is scheduled for October 3 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. However, negotiations are still ongoing.
