Unified WBC/WBA/WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine may fight IBF champion Teofimo Lopez in the United States on May 30.

The lightweight title unification fight can take place according to the PPV (Pay-per-view) system, The Athletic journalist Mike Coppinger wrote on Twitter.

"Sources: The Vasyl Lomachenko-Teofimo Lopez lightweight title unification fight is targeted for May 30, though date hasn't been finalized. Bout likely to land on ESPN PPV rather than linear or ESPN+. Loma has never headlined on PPV in the U.S., but this is his biggest fight yet," the tweet reads.

Lomachenko will earn a record amount in his professional career in a fight against Lopez. Entering the ring against the 22-year-old Honduran-American will bring Lomachenko $4.5 million.
