Yastremska reaches Adelaide quarterfinals

Ukraine's second-seeded tennis player Dayana Yastremska has won through to the quarterfinals of the 2020 Adelaide International tournament in Australia.
In the second round of the competition, Yastremska (No. 24 in the WTA rating) met with former world No. 1 Angelique Kerber of Germany (No. 18 in the WTA rating). The latter refused to continue the match due to an injury when the score was 6-3, 2-0 in favor of the Ukrainian.
To reach the semifinals of the tournament, Yastremska will have to beat Croatia's Donna Vekic (No. 20), who defeated Greek Maria Sakkari (No. 22) 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.
The tournament in Adelaide will last until January 18.
