Ukraine has made it through to its first FIFA U20 World Cup final after defeating Italy 1-0 at the Gdynia Stadium on Tuesday, June 11.

Midfielder Serhiy Buletsa scored the winner in the 65th minute, Ukrinform reports.

Italy's Gianluca Scamacca scored an equalizer in the stoppage time of the second half but it was waived off after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled that the player had fouled Valeriy Bondar in the penalty area.

Ukraine's Denys Popov was shown the second yellow card in the 79th minute and will not play in the final against South Korea on June 15.
