Fans leave about UAH 50 mln in Kyiv hotels, restaurants on Champions League final day

Tourists and football fans who arrived in Kyiv only on the day of the UEFA Champions League final left about UAH 50 million in hotels and restaurants of the city, the press service of the city authorities has reported, with reference to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"We did everything we could. All those who came to us were amazed and satisfied. I think that residents of Kyiv were also satisfied. The city guests left about 50 million hryvnias in cafes, restaurants and hotels only on the day of the final. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin highly assessed our city in the preparation and holding of the Champions League final and stated that at least half of the people who visited Kyiv would come to us again," Klitschko said.
The mayor also thanked law enforcement officers. No serious incidents were recorded during the final in the city. About 10,000 law enforcement officers patrolled city streets.
